Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American actress and model. Eva Mendes was discovered by a talent agent who recognized her talent. They convinced her she should pursue a job in the entertainment sector. She dropped out of college after much deliberation to make a move into entertainment. Her debut came in the movie Children of the Corn V : Fields of Terror, and she wasn't happy about how it came out. Her acting skills were developed through her appearance in low budget film productions. The path to becoming an actor was not easy and she performed well because of her willpower and determination. In the movie Training Day she gained fame and was praised by critics. This was when her acting career took off.
