Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she worked at WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response towards DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. In the years following her stint in Charleston O'Dell was a co-anchor and investigative reporter for the NBC Miami station WTVJ-TV prior to joining Access Hollywood as a weekend co-anchor and weekday correspondent. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted several Pre-ShowArrivals Shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
